RAZR pursues its rivals. Headsets are next in turn. You are likely to meet young girls who have matched shoes, bag and neck-piece – everything tones with each other, both in colour and style.

This trend is not in the fashion world only, mobile accessories also go through the tendency. Motorola developers decided, that RASR’s users certainly have to wear the appropriate headset and put Motorola H3 on the market, since they didn’t have to cudgel their brains over the design.

Sales package. In the firm plastic case we found neatly packed charger in a sachet, headset and user guide. The latter helped us to understand how we should take off the ear loop and change its position.

Design. The casing is black. The front panel has the soft-touch coating, the rear is made of the rough by touch plastic.

Get used, that you will constantly have to wipe the casing of you RAZR. The panel with multifunctional key and manufacturer’s logo is glossy. Beneath locates mode indicator, when it is active, it looks like a smile. Volume buttons resemble small wheels, but, unfortunately, the don’t turn. Being in metal colour, they locates on the edges and aren’t signed.

The earphone are not set into the ear, it just fits it tightly. The ear loop has an attached mild rubber end, that doesn’t hurt the ear gristle when you putting it on.

In one word, the headset has traditional high-quality design inherent to RAZR.

In theory you are to wear the headset also on the left ear. To do it, you have to bow the loop at 90 degrees, take it out of the sprig and shift. But we didn’t risk to do it, as the mechanism was tight and we were likely to break something off.

As the speaker doesn’t insert into the ear, the strength of fastening leaves much to be desired. Sharp turn or just taking a hat off and the headset falls. The loop is rigid and doesn’t fit form of the ear. It seems to be designed for very big ear, that is unlikely to be female one. The most convenient way to put on the headset is to bow the loop at approx 45 degrees, throw it on the ear and then press it.

Work quality. We tested the headset on three phones, of course RAZR was among them. We’d like to say that the device didn’t give preference to the original headset and worked very good with all gadgets (in that case were Nokia 3660 and SamsungD730). Sound quality is beyond reproach, our interlocutors and we were satisfied. The headset works at a distance up to 9 meters. 10 hours in the talking mode seem to be tale, but the number is closely to it. The full charge takes about hour and a half.

Targeted audience. Of course this headset is well matched for business and stylish people. But there is one problem. The design is very bow-wow and the headset is likely to look odd with other mobile phones (except RAZR). In other words if you bought real leather case, don’t wear old leatherette jacket. On the one hand it is very good, but on the other hand this fact reduce the number of buyers.

Or you can try not to pull out your phone publicly. And then if you are even the user of the cheapest bar made of unknown manufacturer, everyone will pay attention to your headset after all.

Men are likely to be among main consumers of Motorola H3, especially RAZR fans. Why fans? Because the line’s share of users is fed up with everything connecting with thinnest Moto devices. While female ears don’t fit these headset.

Conclusion. We think, that Motorola H3 seems to be very simple and predictable. Bur of course old and well-tried design keeps Motorola devices afloat for some time. We don’t have any complaint about sound quality, but because of the narrow targeted design and aim at definite segment of buyers, that constantly constricts, the model won’t be very popular. After all, even during the common test some shortcomings appear: it isn’t clear how to control volume, how to change the loop without breaking the sprig, wearing is uncomfortable in principle…

However, things are not so sad. The device still stands out from other headsets and is probably worth its price.
